Examples of Domestic Tasks:

 

(include, but is not limited to)

  • Bathrooms: cleaning baths, sinks, showers, toilets / commodes and floor

  • Kitchen: washing-up dishes, un/loading the dishwasher, cleaning microwaves / ovens and work surfaces and floor

  • Laundry: un/load the washing machine, dry, fold and put away bedding, clothing, ironing

  • General: sweeping / vacuuming / mopping floors, emptying bins, changing bin bags, and wiping down bins

  • Making beds and changing bedding

  • Cleaning internal windows

  • Nail Cutting Service

 

Our Approach:

  1. All our staff are DBS checked

  2. We provide domestic support on a regular agreed schedule, but can also provide one off cleaning if required

  3. We will agree with you a mutually convenient day and time for the domestic support

  4. We will agree what tasks are required and frequency

  5. We will agree the method of cleaning and the equipment and materials to be used

  6. We will complete a Risk Assessment detailing any risks associated with performing the agreed tasks and safety precautions to be adopted, for both client and staff

  7. This information will be entered into a Domestic Support Plan and shall be shared with you

  8. Our staff shall put equipment and materials away in the agreed storage area after use.

Training for Domestic Support:

We have a mandatory training programme for our staff which includes:

  • Infection Prevention and Control

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques

  • COSHH – Substances Hazardous to Health

  • Communications Skills

  • Safeguarding
